You know I was thinking on how ironical it is that I wrote that post about making time for joy and how it is now I hardly have time for anything else in my life again. God help me.

So pls you pray for me if you happen to read this.
I miss you all so much and my blog like hell.

Making Time For Joy

Stop Putting Off Time For Joy In Your Life

As we speed through life, living on the edge at a faster and
faster pace, we need to stop and:

* review our values
* decide the direction of our lives and how we want to spend
our time, money and energy
* take care of ourselves and recharge our batteries. Hehehe!
* find time for peace and quiet
* make room for love in our lives

Have you put off time for relationships, hopes, dreams? Have
you put off time for fun, relaxation, joy?

If your life is moving at such a fast and hectic speed that
you're not enjoying it, then what are you hurrying toward?
What are you working to achieve? When will it get better?
When will you enjoy your life?

When you feel overwhelmed or so frazzled you can't find the
energy to do anything, that's when you need to make the time
to visit a friend, go fishing, meditate, take a
trip to the museum, go for a walk or even shopping!

Come on make time for yourself, cause you have only one life, don’t you ever forget that, so take care of it!

Naija To The Core

Check out this "ijebu" man.
A typical Nigerian if you ask me.

A young Yoruba man(Nigerian) walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan
officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to Lagos on a vacation,
for two weeks, and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer tells him that
the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Yoruba man
hands over the keys to a new brand BMW 6 series. The car is parked on the
street in front of the bank. The Yoruba man produces the title and
everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as
collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a
good laugh at the Yoruba man, for using an $80,000 BMW as collateral against
a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the BMW into the bank's
underground garage and parks it there. Two weeks later, the Yoruba man
returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan
officer says, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this
transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While
you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a successful
business man. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"
The Yoruba man replies: "Where else in New York City can I park my car for
two weeks, and pay only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?"
The bank employees watch as he pulls out of the garage, windows down and sunroof
open. Juju music blasting from his car, as he pulled away. Yes OO!

Here Again

Guys, whao!! Its sure good to be here again, I missed you all sooooo much, I'm not really back, will be taking off again next week, hehehehe!

But really I'm doing great and my sense of humour is back 100%, I really had a wonderful time especially with my three little nieces, we ran around, tumbled and rumbled, Christ! I felt like a little child again.

My cousin is also doing great, he is his usual self again;handsome and smiling. Thank God, I guess men have a way of hiding their pains but he really was great. I had wanted to put up a picture of her, she looked so serene and pretty on the obituary,{she was just 35} that I felt so bad I didnt really get to know her better but that's life. I guess we learn everyday.

I'm sooooo very grateful to each and everyone of you for your supportive words, I really, really appreciate everyone of them. thank you very much. I will try to come around to your blogs and try to catch up soonest. meanwhile I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

A Time To Say Goodbye

Hi Guys,
I won't be here for a while after today, I need a break, there's so much going on around me especially in my office, so I need to get away from all this, call me a coward if you want but I need to run, I just hope and pray that by the time I get back the "storm" will be over.

Anyway I need this leave, I'm really stressed out and I think I need to rest, so I'm getting away from civilization to my rural village where I'll breathe fresh unpolluted air for at least two weeks, its been ages since i went there, I kind of feel bad that i'm going there now on a sad note; my cousin's wife just died, its sooo sad, I remember when they were dating as if it was yesterday, I did not really like her, she was that kind of girl who hardly smiles (aw, you're not supposed to speak bad of the dead)but my cousin was like my hero and I used to wonder what he saw in her, he was the exact opposite, if you know what i mean, but he loved her, it was easy to see that.

They finally got married a few years back (i wasnt at the wedding) so it was a shock when my mum told me she has passed away during a surgical procedure, they don't even have a baby yet, I feel so bad not really for her( i'm sorry about that) but my cousin, I know he'll be hit badly(why do bad things keep happening to good people)I'm really in a state of shock, i've not even been able to call him, I just want to see him face to face to know how he's taking it.

Please Pray for him.

So I guess its time to say my goodbyes to her and my last repect too.
I hope she's happy wherever she is right now. Death is a mystery!!!!

You Can Be Whatever You Please

What drives us to succeed? Is it the money, fame, or is it something deeper than this? And who deems us a success? Is it our friends, family or is it the intimate world we have created for ourselves? Hm. The answers to these questions can often be hard to find yet they are usually staring us right in the face.

It’s your choice

If it was your choice what would you do in life? Who would you be? What path would you take? Epictetus once said, First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do. In my opinion he was right! You can do whatever you want. Become whoever you please.

Its all about the choices that you make in life. Afterall success lies within you, just reach out and bring it out.

Don't Live By DEFAULT, Live By DESIGN

Are you ready to create your life by design?

Of course, you may say, but just how do I do that? Aren't the circumstances of my life simply the way things are, you may ask? How do I influence what my life looks like? Well here's some food for thought then; are you someone who always says it is important to accept life exactly as it is? This, according to you, is one of the divine paradoxes of the universe, to be at peace, I must accept and embrace the current conditions and circumstances of my life, you say. Tell you what, you are living by default!

When you tell yourself that you have the power to create an entirely new and different set of circumstances and in truth, you are already creating a life experience moment by moment, and most importantly you are doing this consciously? You are living by design. Because you know that within you lies the power to change your life. You see, the main difference between living life by design and life by default is in the power of focus and attention. SIMPLE AND SHORT!!

So, create a vision for yourself and your life today.

Remember: IF OPPORTUINITY DOESN'T KNOCK, CREATE A DOOR!!!

Smile, You Are Loved!

YOU"RE WORTH A LOT TO GOD!!! I hope this will help somebody.

Does the thought ever sweep over you that you are not very important? Perhaps you feel that if you were to disappear off the face of the earth, no one would really miss you. Sometines I do, really.

Now, everyone has their bad days, But there are many people, and you may be one of them, who are sincerely convinced of their lack of value. Perhaps you feel that you are not as attractive as your friends. You may have a skin problem, or a weight problem, It could be that you are too shy to make friends easily, or that you feel you just don’t have what it takes to converse well with people. It is easy to focus on what you perceive as your limitations and to get the feeling that you are just no good.

What is the answer to all of this? The fact is, there is probably some truth in your personal assessment of yourself. True, when you are feeling down, you tend to exaggerate the negative and overlook the positive. No doubt, you fare as well as many others do in some respects and perhaps even excel in certain areas.
So what you need is to get a new perspective on value. Instead of evaluating how man looks at you, consider this: How does God look at you? Do you suppose that God loves the handsome, but rejects the plain? Does God love the talented few while having no interest in the ordinary majority? Does God favor the bright and energetic over the average and weak? Of course not!

And that, my friend, is precisely the reason you should not demean yourself. In God’s sight, you are of great worth. Since God chose to create you, in His sight you are of great value. God knows all about you. He created you with your special combination of skills, personality traits, appearance, strengths, and weaknesses. Do you know why? For His purposes and for His glory. God has a job for you to do, just the way you are. As you accept this and endeavor to do the best you can for Him, external factors will cease to concern you.God loves you just the way He made you...... the way you are!

SO GIVE THE WORLD A SMILE!!

Priorities

Unfortunately, most of us need a little reminder every now and then about what is really important. Something will happen in our lives and we just sort of sit up, slap our foreheads stupidly, and say "OH MY GOD! Of course! I knew that, but I forgot that I knew that!"

The trouble is that we never know when that's going to happen and, when it does, it may be too late. If you lose a loved one in a tragic accident, how will you be able to say those things to them that you meant to say but never did?

My guess is that you probably don't have to think very hard to figure out your top priorities in life. Are you taking the time, however short, to think about it? And are you acting accordingly, spending your time and financial resources where it matters the most?

Always make sure that you keep balance and perspective in
your life. It's amazing how quickly 'important' things
can become unimportant. It's easy to work a lot when
you own a small business for example
(I'll bet you didn't know that) which makes it hard
to achieve that balance and perspective without
some conscious effort. Are your priorities in order?
Don't wait for that giant reminder to come
and slap you in the face. The next time you get angry with a
loved one, ask yourself if it really matters that much.

Have you ever watched "Mr. Mom", one of
Michael Keaton's first movies. In it, he loses his corporate
job, can't find another, and his wife (played by Terri Garr) ends
up going back to work for an advertising firm leaving him at home
to take care of the kids. She ends up working too much, so he
says these eight words to her.

Now I'm saying them to you:

"It's easy to forget what's important. So don't."

Lesson Of Life

Always remember this through the journey of life:
God bless you as you read on. Our lives are woven
together for a reason

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see
the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food
might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was
devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the
warning. "There is a mousetrap in the house! There
is a mousetrap in the house!"
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head
and said, "Mr. Mouse, I
can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is
of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by
it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
"There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a
mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but
said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is
nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you
are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow and
said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a
mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr.
Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my
nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and
dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That
very night a sound was heard throughout the house -
like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The
farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the
darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake
whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed
her to the hospital, and she returned home with a
fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh
chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the
farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and
neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To
feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The
farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many
people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow
slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a
problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -
when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We
are all involved in this journey called life. We
must keep an eye out for one another and make an
extra effort to encourage one another.

Friday Jokes

Enjoy these Friday jokes

1. Wife: I dreamt you gave me $100 dollars last night for Summer clothes,
you would'nt spoil that dream now, would you dear?
Husband: Of course not darling. You may keep the $100.

2. A lawyer sent an overdue bill to a client with a note that said
"This bill is one year old"
By return mail the lawyer had his bill. To it was attached another note

3. For weeks a six year old lad kept telling his first grade teacher about the baby brother or sister that was expected at his house. Then one day the mother allowed the boy to feel the movement of the unborn child. The six year old was obviously impressed but made no comment, furthermore he stopped telling his teacher about the impending event.
The teacher finally sat down with the boy and said "Tommy, whatever has become of the baby brother or sister that you were expecting at home"
Tommy burst into tears and confessed " I think Mommy ate it!"

4. Teacher: What do you call someone who is always talking when people are no longer interested?
Student: A Teacher

5. Little Susie complained, " Mother I've got a stomachache."
That's because your stomach is empty," The mother replied, "You would feel better if you had something in it."
That afternoon the minister visited and in conversation, remarked he had been suffering all day with a severe headache.
Susie perked up. "Thats because it's empty," she said. You'll feel better if you had something in it."

Hallo Pals, have a very wonderful Weekend.

Forgive And Set Yourself Free

We remain emotionally and spiritually clogged when
we hang on to grudges, resentments and other negative
emotions.

Are you holding any resentment toward anyone right now? If
so, your emotional and spiritual system is clogged. You're
devoting energy to a resentment, which is stealing energy
you could be applying to more productive things.
You might probably be saying, "But you don't know what this person
did to me!" That's true, I don't know. What I do know is
that your resentment or grudge is doing YOU no good at all.
Why hang on to something that makes you feel angry and
miserable?

If you think your grudge is too hard to give up,
or perhaps the harm was intentionally inflicted?
Consider this story:

New York City Police Detective Steven McDonald faced a
situation in July of 1986. While on patrol in Central Park,
the then-29-year-old detective stopped some teenagers to
question them. While he was speaking to them, one youngster
(15-years-old) took out a gun and shot Steven McDonald in
the head and neck.

In the hospital, McDonald learned that he would be paralyzed
from the neck down for the rest of his life. He needs a
machine to breathe. At the time of the incident, McDonald
had been married only eight months and his wife was three
months pregnant. He was in the hospital for 18 months. But
after being released from the hospital, McDonald forgave
the young man who shot him.

McDonald said he needed to do that to free himself from
anger and resentment. Simply put, he needed to get unclogged
and to move forward on a mission to change people's hearts.
Steven McDonald speaks in schools about forgiveness and
nonviolent conflict resolution.

The chances are that whatever happened to you is nowhere
near as serious as what happened to Steven McDonald.
If he was able to forgive a person who shot him and
paralyzed him for life, can you forgive those who have
inflicted some type of emotional or physical pain on you?

Remember, you're doing this to unclog yourself, so it
doesn't matter if the other person accepts your forgiveness
or even knows about it. For that matter, the other person
could be dead. Forgive the other person and free yourself.

Give up the bitterness and get on with your life. This is
not always easy and there is no formula that applies to
everyone. Make the important decision to release your
negative emotions. As you reduce physical clutter and forgive
those you resent, you'll gain a host of benefits. You'll feel
more comfortable in your physical surroundings. Your health
will improve. You'll feel less stress. You'll see new
opportunities. Your whole life will open up in ways you
never imagined!

Time Means Money

"Time na money" If you happen to live around this part of the world, you would have probably heard this phrase a million times, means time is money, truth is whether you like it or not its a fact.

You know, if you're ever going to take control of your life and make it grand, you'll need to start by taking control of your time. Without question, effective time management is fundamental to succeeding in any area of life. In fact, it is often the main difference between life's achievers and those who, although always busy, never get anywhere.

Most experts agree that success is the result of habit. Therefore, the first step in improving how you use your time starts with your habits (self control). And your habits start as consciously made decisions (i.e. what time you get up, what kind of books you read, etc.

Once established, good habits become second nature. In many cases, success is not so much the result of doing the unusual, but rather the result of one's ability to "master the mundane." By consistently performing all of the little rudimentary tasks that are important, over time these activities transform into huge achievements.

Here's some simple rules to follow for better time management:

Don't procrastinate. Do it now. When people put things off, it kills momentum, slows achievement of current goals and restricts future opportunity as time is clogged up. The way to tackle procrastination is to set deadlines by which goals should be achieved.

Track your activities. Memory is a poor guide when it comes to assessing how you spend your time. A better way is to record your activities throughout the day, listing everything you do. Most people will find that they have about three hours each day that can be used in a more constructive or efficient manner. Take stock of the time you spend chatting on the phone, flipping though magazines or aimlessly surfing the Web, and eliminate all that isn't necessary.

Respond quickly. For example, take care of your mail as you receive it. Don't let those bills and letters pile up on you. If you're unable to respond to a letter immediately, file it in a special place that's visible, and note on the envelope the required action and date you intend to resolve it. When possible, act on requests the same day you receive them. Don't let your computer, your desk or your mind become clogged with useless things.

Be Decisive. Learn to say no to people. Your time is important, so don't let other people impose or use you to compensate for their poor planning. Eliminate distractions as much as possible. Close your door, turn off the ringer on your phone or simply ask not to be disturbed.

By following these tips, you'll create more space to be, do and have more in your life. Best of all, you'll approach life in a more proactive and intentional manner.

Hurray It's Friday!!

Well this is another Friday, and I'd like to close this week on a lighter mood, so enjoy these jokes.

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each
other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day,
he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
"Please wake me at 5:00 AM " He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM
and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and
see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by
the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Hehe! Know what?
Men are not equipped for these kind of contests.

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,
the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws"

CREATION

A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be
so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
" The wife responded, "Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!

Married Life Is Full Of Excitement!!! hehehe!!!!

Enjoy Your weekend!

Let Go Of The Past

Have you ever walked by a
low fence and wondered why
the dog inside will run to
it, but won't jump over,
no matter how many times he runs to it
barking and growling?
The thing is that the dog was placed inside
the fence as a puppy.
He grows up seeing that fence as being higher
than it is. He learned as a puppy that no matter how many times
he tries to clear it, it's just too high. Over time he gradually
tries less often, until eventually he quits trying.
He just knows he'll never clear that fence.

The same thing happens to us over the years. We try to reach a goal and
fail.We muster up the courage to try again and fall just short of the mark.
Gradually that fence becomes higher in our minds, than it really is.
It's a gradual insidious process and we seldom notice it's happening.
Over time that fence becomes more imposing. Our efforts become a little
less enthusiastic. We start building fences in our mind and like that
little puppy we begin to break. We begin a new goal with so many doubts.
We just know we won't reach it, and so we don't. We start thinking to
ourselves, I knew I couldn't do it. Our doubts become a self fulfilling
prophecy.

But hey! It doesn't have to be that way.

Realise this: Our failures aren't us. Our limitations are nothing more
than fences we've built in our minds. The cycle can be broken, if we
could learn to stop thinking about our past failures and concentrate
on the here and now. Stop mistaking your past limitations for who you are.

Let go and move on.
Begin every task as if it were impossible to fail.
You can, if you think you can.
Wishing You Success.

Keep this in mind; you have the right to choose!

A Choice Is A Choice

Not making a choice is a choice.

Letting things just happen in your life is a choice.
Not putting your definition of success into writing is
a choice. Accepting less than what you deserve, based
upon your effort, OR, lack of effort to achieve is your
choice. The list is endless. We are all constantly presented
with choices every day,we make hundreds of them. You can
choose to be someone who make things happen, or someone who
watch things happen, OR, you can choose to let things happen.
To me thats no choice BUT, it IS your choice!

At times, the only choice you may have is to choose your
attitude and how you will respond to the happenings around
you. To choose your attitude and how you'll respond to how you feel.
These choices are powerful because they allow you the
power to stay in control of our internal thoughts even if
you cannot control the external circumstances. So making
choices must be a conscious response.

Making choices, and being mindful of your choices, is
important because it helps you remember that you are the
only one responsible for the outcome of your actions. By
taking responsibility for making your own choices, with a
positive attitude in tow, you remove yourself from the role
of victim. How about that?
Now here are a few choices I've made

- To put a smile on my face no matter how I'm feeling on the inside.

- To be the best on my job and in whatever I do.

- To be the best Christian on earth.

- To be a real lady; cool, calm and collected.

- To be focused and pursue my goals in life with everything in me.

- To make sure I marry for love.

- To make honesty my best policy.
