What drives us to succeed? Is it the money, fame, or is it something deeper than this? And who deems us a success? Is it our friends, family or is it the intimate world we have created for ourselves? Hm. The answers to these questions can often be hard to find yet they are usually staring us right in the face.
It’s your choice
If it was your choice what would you do in life? Who would you be? What path would you take? Epictetus once said, First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do. In my opinion he was right! You can do whatever you want. Become whoever you please.
Its all about the choices that you make in life. Afterall success lies within you, just reach out and bring it out.

...And Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude
Golda Meier, an earlier Prime Minister of Israel, was once asked what made Israel such a success against the might of the united Arab armies. Israel, as you most probably know, is a small country set in the middle of a desert, with virtually no natural resources and no wealth. Meier replied, "All that my country has is the spirit of it's people. If the people lost their spirit, not even the might of the United States of America could save us." A right attitude throughout the country overcame all the odds and insurmountable difficulties throughout it's turbulent history.
The top salesman for Bell telephones in America is a quadriplegic! Although he can only blink his eyes and open his mouth, his attitude and perseverance have made him num-ber one. (Stanford University after doing extensive research, said that all success is 87.5% as a result of your attitudes. Your skills, abilities and knowledge make up the other 12.5%).
But you can ask "HOW DO I GET THE RIGHT ATTITUDE?"
Learn from your mistakes, Daley Thompson, the former great British athletic once said that he learns more from failures than successes. Look beyond your mistakes and savor successful experiences. Make daily affirmations to yourself that you are doing well and are on the right track. Reward yourself for minor achievements, but steps on the road to your bigger goals. Give yourself credit, no matter how small your achievements, because mental rewards will boost your motivation. This conditioning will cultivate a positive attitude in you. (Just like Pavlov's dogs were conditioned to salivate through association of ideas.) I remember that from my studies in psychology "many many moons" ago.
Look forward to positive outcomes and rehearse them in your mind, rather than anticipating failure. Don't repeat bad experiences-our attitude ties us down and limits us, so that mediocrity becomes our destiny.
Make the most of any situation you find yourself in. Try not to be anxious. Things will work out in the end.
Avoid self-pity. Resilient people don't feel sorry for themselves too long. The person who wallows in self-pity or bitterness, spends too much time on introspection and not enough time plotting a comeback.
Be persistent. Winning often means getting up one more time than you have been knocked down. Persevere and never give up.
Adapt to change and see it as a challenge rather than as uncertain and frightening.
Always keep things in perspective. Because our job is such a big part of our self image, a career set-back can make us lose perspective. If you become unemployed, don't see yourself as a failure, but rather as having options and an opportunity to pursue a new direction in your life.
and finally,
Believe in yourself, but trust in God .

Your Attitude Also Determines Your Destiny
Still on attitude. Do you know that you are today what you thought about yesterday and you will be tomorrow what you think about today? Every attitude is either positive or negative, It doesn't matter what happens to you, It is how you take it that matters."
"In the game of life you can be up one moment and down the next. The reason is not luck but the attitudes you choose consciously or unconsciously."
Your attitude will determine your entire outlook on life and how you see the world- happy or sad, positive or negative. You can choose to see it through rose-coloured spectacles (the eternal optimist who is out of touch with reality). You can also see everything as dark clouds (the absolute pes- simist), or better still choose to see that every dark cloud has a silver lining, which is a good attitude to have. Well it's true anyway!
I am the eternal optimist, out of touch, some say. Some people pick up the doom and gloom portrayed by newspapers and the media and transfer it to their own daily living. Attitude clouds verything that happens to you and how you react to situations, crises, etc.
As we have seen, one's attitude is closely related to your self-image and it is probably the most critical factor in determining how successful or how happy you will be in life. The inner attitude you have about yourself will determine your level of success far more than the skills and training you have ever received!
YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY!

Your Attitude Determines Your Success In Life
Attitude is one thing I feel very strongly about because come to think of it , it is what makes and unmakes one, so I want to dwell on this for a while.
Now are you aware of the fact that your atitude plays a very important role in determining whether you can be a successful business person or not?
A person with a positive attitude who starts his career at age 65 can be MORE successful than a young person at age 25 who has a negative attitude!
Take for example Colonel Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken who was turned down about a thousands time trying to sell his secret
chicken recipe but he maintained a positive attitude despite his many rejections and firmly believed in himself and his secret chicken recipe. At the
age of 65 he managed to find his success and KFC is now a world wide brand name, creating jobs for zillions of people around the world!
Starting a Business requires Colonel Sanders' kind of positive attitude.
First, determine whether it is a viable business to commit into by doing some research on the company that you are interested in.
And once you determine that the business is workable, go all the way and LEARN whatever it takes to make it a success.
In life and in business, adversity will make its appearances. Obstacles and frustrations are created not to destroy you but to MOLD you into a
better person.
The most important attitude an achiever MUST adopt is to get into ACTION even if might be a bit MESSY and scary at first.
Successful Entrepreneurs JUST DO IT. They might not know how to swim at first but they have the spirit to fight till their last breath and that alone keeps them from sinking into the water.
To focused people, failure is not a choice. They don't depend on luck and are not afraid to learn no matter how old they are. They believe that the mountains they wish to conquer will not grow taller as they climb closer and closer to the TOP.
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls, and looks like work." Thomas A. Edison

Real Success Lies In Pursuing Your Dreams
We talk about success as though it’s an event or a thing. We refer to people wearing "the badges of success", and carrying around (or wearing or driving) the latest status symbol.
But success is not a thing – it is a way of being in the world.
You can have all the riches in the world, and still feel like a failure if you aren't following your life's true purpose. This is a special kind of stress.
Or you might have nothing but the clothes you stand in and feel like the biggest success in the world... if you are following your heart. And that is a very special kind of 'Bliss'.
Imagine yourself on your death-bed, if that isn’t too depressing! What will you look back on as the successes in your life? When was the point at which you redefined success and failure, and realised that the only real yardstick is within you?
Success is not an event. Success is an attitude.
"Success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue… as the unattained side effect of one's personal dedication to a course greater than oneself."

How To Motivate And Develop Yourself
What motivates us to do the things that we do? Why do we think and behave as we do? What influences people to do what they do? The word "motivation" means different things to different people. One thing for sure is that you can't buy a jar of it: it has to come from within yourself. A person's brain needs constant motivational input just as muscles need exercise, engines need petrol and plants need water.
People are the product of their thoughts and the aim of motivational material is to improve the quality of your thoughts. Motivation is nothing more than encouragement and we all perform better for it.
"We become what we think about all day long." - Emerson
The road to achievement starts with a goal. Implant that goal in your mind and think about it all day long. Pay the price by making sacrifices. Take small steps towards your goal every day, instead of occasional bursts of activity.
The principal difference between the average person and the one who is highly successful seems to be in the degree of his or her personal motivation infact without self motivation you can hardly succeed in life.Self motivation brings about self development BUT it requires self discipline, that's why motivation is the hidden power in the successful person's arsenal and is the key ingredient for success.
Strong motivation also stems from a deep rooted belief in what you are trying to do; it is strongest when it comes from your inner values. This creates a feeling of ENTHUSIASM which is essential in order to remain motivated. As a salesperson I've come to realise that the best salespeople are those who get very excited about and have total faith in their products. They sell with a firm conviction that their product is the best available.
But you don't have to be a salesperson to be motivated, whatever you do be motivated and success will surley be YOURS!
ALL THE BEST!!

The Secret Of Success Is InThe Mind
Do you know before generally people had believed that financial freedom was simply not for everyone but a "lucky few". This belief was based on some myths like these:
Myth no 1: Millionaires are more intelligent and better educated than you and I.
Number 2: Honest people don't get rich.
Myth no 3: Millionaires work 10 times as hard as the ordinary man in the street.
Number 4: You need money to make money.
But the funny thing is that most millionaires have "begged and borrowed" to get started. Some have even been bankrupt and fired.
Financial prosperity and or a fulfilling life well lived are goals we can all achieve if we understand the principles of success. The main attraction of money is FREEDOM to choose your desired lifestyle. Earning a great deal of money should not be for it's own sake. I really believe that most people are too busy earning a living to stop and think about how they could get rich and solve their moneyproblems...and that is the reason why they haven't been able to do so. Do you ever think through your particular situation?
Do you like what you do for a living? Millionaires love their occupations. Work is leisure, your hobby. Most millionaires continue working long after becoming millionaires.
Don't give yourself a choice, an exit. "Put your back to the wall" and "burn the bridges behind you". I had no other options here in "Sleepy Hollow" and the internet is my "tool" to reach out to the world and achieve my personal goals. ACQUIRE THE MENTALITY OF A MILLIONAIRE: Most people don't believe there are secrets to wealth - they believe rich people are just "lucky". Hm. Most people don't believe they can ever become rich. But BELIEVE that you can and crave it passionately. Use your IMAGINATION. Think and act successfully.
